How it all works, by text

No app, no password, nothing to download. You just text, like you would a friend. Here's the whole thing.

1. Pick your days

Every Friday morning you'll get a text asking which days you want to play next week. Just text back the days.

Wed Thu Friall weekjust Tue and Thu

Get your days in by Saturday at 4 PM. Your tee is whatever you picked when you signed up, and your handicap adjusts for it. Playing a different tee that day? Just add the color, like "Wed blue".

2. Change your mind

Something came up? Text the day you need to drop and you'll stay in for the rest.

Can't do FridayOut Thursday

Need to sit out the whole week? Text I'm out. You can always text your days back later to jump right back in.

3. If a spot opens up

When someone drops after the groups are set, the open spot goes to the next guy in line. If that's you, you'll get a text asking if you want in, with a time to answer by.

YesNo

If you don't answer in time, it moves on to the next player and we'll let you know. Nobody's ever left wondering.

4. Ask anything

Got a question, tee times, weather, where to be? Just text it in like a normal message. It goes straight to whoever is running the league that week and you'll get a text right back.

5. Game day

The morning you play, you'll get a text with your starting hole, your group number, and who you're playing with. Head out and have a good round.

Groups are drawn at random each week, the same way Cliff pulls the chips. The computer isn't picking favorites, it just does the random draw so everyone mixes around and it stays fair.

6. Rules of play

The group plays by these every round:

Follow USGA rules, and putt everything out.

Cart paths: when carts are 100% off the path, play the ball down, no lift, clean, and place. When it's cart-path-only, or path-only on certain holes, you can lift, clean, and place in your own fairway.

Green speed goes off the previous day's reading if today's isn't posted yet.

And keep up the pace of play.

7. If you can't get in

Text the word login and your link comes right back. It works every time and it never expires, so nothing is ever really lost. You don't need Cliff for this.

Tapping that link signs you in, and it always will, on any phone or browser. If you want it as a button on your home screen, the link tells you how.

A couple of things: text STOP anytime to stop getting texts, or HELP if you're stuck. Your phone number is never shared or sold. And you can pull this page back up anytime by texting guide.
